On this episode of 3 in 3, I’m recommending three short, but powerful books you’ve probably never heard of, that reside in my business book library, and are perfect when you only have 60 minutes or so and you want to make it a productive and profitable hour.

So, get ready for 3 in 3!

High Impact Marketing Tip #1—Skill with People by Les Giblin

This is a very short book that only 33 pages long but packed with actionable ideas and content.

First published in 1968, over 2 million copies of Skill with People have been sold around the world.

This short book is a classic and offers practical advice on how to improve one’s people skills and create lasting impressions on others.

Two critical factors for success today.

You can purchase Skill with People on Amazon.

High Impact Marketing Tip #2—How to Advertise Yourself by Maxwell Sackheim

This 92-page book was first published in 1978 by one of the greatest admen in the history of advertising, Maxwell Sackheim, who also wrote My First 65 Years in Advertising and Billion Dollar Marketing.

Published just a few years before his death, How to Advertise Yourself is a quick-to-read guide on Sackheim’s five steps to selling yourself to others.

It’s a great little book if you want to improve your marketing copywriting skills and even though it’s out of print, you can find copies for sale online.

High Impact Marketing Tip #3—Rhinoceros Success by Scott Alexander

Rhinoceros Success is only 80 pages long and was first published in 1980.

This little gem focuses on how to supercharge your life and fill it with high impact potential.

If you are looking for a quick shot of adrenalin and positive energy, spend an hour reading Rhinoceros Success and I know you will be energized.

And finally, one quick bonus tip.

I love short, powerful books, which is why I wrote The Magic of Short Books.

If you are a bricks & mortar or Main Street-type business owner who wants to tap into the prestige and power of being an author and have a customer-attraction short book working for you to generate new leads and new customers, you must grab a copy of my newest short book, The Magic of Short Books.

This book gives you a “paint by numbers” template for creating your own customer-attraction short book which is the perfect type of book for today’s time-strapped and overwhelmed consumer.

You can get it on my website or Amazon.

So that wraps up this episode of 3 in 3.

I hope you found this episode useful and if you have any other recommended “short books” let me know by leaving a comment below!

Hey, Mike. One short book I really like is The Mom Test. It’s really intended for start-up tech companies, but has some great ideas that can be adapted to marketing and, especially, sales.
