    Hey Mike…

Great show! Always looking for new stuff to read…Ted Nicholas rocks…I have some of his early stuff and it is pure gold! One of my favorite books is “Selling Yourself” by Napoleon Hill…Like most of Hill’s book it is a classic and responsible for a lot of the positive change in my life…

Looking forward to your next video!

    Mike,
Thanks for this great example of how to reach out to your PEEPS with useful info. Its quick, elegant and to the point. You’re a terrific and generous role model.
Yes, War of Art is one of my faves too. Here’s a recommendation for anyone who wants a deeper scientific explanation of WHY we have so much resistance to goodness in our lives. Its called the Origin of Illness by Brazilian psychoanalyst Norberto R Keppe.

    Mike,

I love CopyDoodles and Mike Capuzzi TV!

The Ted Nicholas books are indeed must reads. I own most of them. As a professional copywriter, I spent days looking online for Ted’s classic ad “You, A Millionaire Writer?”, only to find the space ad and all the follow-up letters in his “Magic Words That Bring You Riches” book!

Thanks for the video, and looking forward to receiving your list.

    Best,

    Daryl Thompson

    Mike,

Like every successful Entrepreneur/Business owner you must have a long list of great reads that have inspired and helped you grow both in business and personally. Every time I go to my local GKIC chapter meeting there is a sign that reads “Poor people have BIG TV(S), Rich people have BIG Libraries” (unknown) Some author reads that come too mind Seth Godin,John Jantsch,Joseph Jaffe, Michael Gerber.

    Thx for your book recommendations,

    JW

Mike, Another great episode. I love your format and the content you cram in to just 3 minutes. I agree that The War of Art is a top pick. The New Psychocybernetics by Maxwell Maltz and Dan Kennedy (updated version)is a book I review on a regular basis and highly recommend.

    Hey Mike,

You & I both know the only way to deliver more value to anyone… whether customers, clients, friends and family is to be of more value by continually investing in yourself. Reading books on your niche is a great way to accomplish that. Thanks for your recommendations.
Personally, I just finished “The Business of Happiness” by Ted Leonsis and give it a thumbs up.
    All the Best!

    Hi Mike,

Thanks! Another great episode – I’ve always been partial to John Caples’ “Tested Advertising Methods”, 4th edition (the 4th edition, not the 5th edition). As legendary advertising executive David Ogilvy writes in the forward, “This is without a doubt, the most useful book on advertising I have ever read.” Amen, Brother Ogilvy!

I’m looking forward to your list.

    With best wishes,

    Ben DuBois

  13. Ben on February 8, 2011 at 2:29 pm

Great recommendations Mike. I’ve already downloaded one of them to my iPad! I recommend all entrepreneurs check out two recent books by Dan Ariely (whom we had speak at our local Glazer-Kennedy Chapter Meeting in Raleigh/Durham, NC last Fall. They are “Predictably Irrational” and “The Upside of Irrationality” … these are books by a behavioral economist who digs into several of the factors that influence human decision making (and they aren’t always what you think they will be!)

  14. Grant on February 8, 2011 at 2:34 pm

Yes, Ted Nicholas is a true legend. Met him at a three day seminar in January 2008 at his “Success in the Sun” Event. Hired Ted as a personal mentor, too. He does true give ten-times his value back.

As to good quick reads, I can finished
    “QUICK WITTED
Saying the right think to win BIG”

No denying it, we are all in the persuasion business and this book shows how stories through Metaphors are often the best way to get our views heard.
